Returns & Refunds Policy
At Digitul, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Returns and refunds are handled according to the condition of the product, the reason for the return and applicable South African consumer-protection law.
This policy applies to brand-new, refurbished and pre-owned products sold by Digitul.
1. Products Arriving Faulty or Damaged
Please inspect your order as soon as it is delivered.
If a product arrives damaged, defective or not functioning, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs or other relevant information where possible.
We will assess the issue and advise on an appropriate resolution, which may include a repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Where a product is returned, accessories, cables, chargers and other items supplied with it should also be returned where applicable. Missing items may affect the return process where permitted by law.
The 48-hour notification period does not remove any rights you may have under applicable law.
2. Faults Within 7 Days
If a product develops a qualifying fault within 7 days of delivery, contact us as soon as possible.
Following an assessment, the applicable remedy may include repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
If an assessment establishes that the problem resulted from misuse, negligence, accidental damage or another excluded cause, the return may not qualify for a remedy under the warranty. This does not affect any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Incorrect Product or Change of Mind
If you receive a product different from the one ordered, please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution.
If you ordered the wrong product or wish to return an item because you changed your mind, contact us within 7 days of delivery to discuss your request.
Change-of-mind returns are subject to the circumstances of the purchase and applicable law. They are not automatically guaranteed in every situation.
Where a return is approved, the product should be returned in an acceptable condition with all supplied accessories.
For returns that are not due to a fault or error on our part, return courier costs may be the customer's responsibility where permitted by law and agreed as applicable.
4. How to Request a Return
Please contact Digitul before sending any product back.
Email: info@digitul.co.za
Once your request has been reviewed, we will confirm the next steps and provide return instructions where appropriate.
Please contact us before arranging a return so we can assist with the correct process.
5. Digital Products
Digital products, including software keys and digital licences, may be non-refundable once supplied or activated, subject to the applicable terms and conditions and any rights provided by law.
Customers should review the product description and applicable licence terms before purchasing.
6. Damaged or Incorrect Returns
Products being returned should be packaged securely to help prevent damage during transit.
Please contact Digitul before arranging the return of a damaged or incorrect product so we can advise on the appropriate process.
Responsibility for return shipping costs and transit damage will depend on the circumstances, the agreed return arrangements and applicable law.
7. Items That May Not Qualify for Return
Subject to applicable law, certain returns may not qualify for a refund, including:
- Gift cards, except where a refund is required by law or the applicable terms.
- Digital products or software licences once supplied or activated, where exclusion of a refund is lawful.
- Products damaged through misuse, negligence or unauthorised modification, where the damage is relevant to the claim.
This list does not exclude statutory rights that apply to a particular transaction or product.
8. Exchanges
If an exchange is approved, Digitul will advise you of the available options.
Depending on stock availability and the circumstances, we may arrange a replacement or process an applicable return and refund before a new product is purchased.
9. Refunds
Where inspection is appropriate, we will assess the returned product and confirm the outcome of your request.
Approved refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method, where possible and appropriate.
Bank or payment-provider processing times may mean that the refund does not appear immediately in your account.
If a product is reported as faulty but inspection does not identify a qualifying defect, the return may not qualify for a fault-based refund. Any applicable assessment or return courier charges will be communicated where relevant and may only be applied where permitted by law.
10. Warranty & Consumer Rights
A return or refund request involving a qualifying product fault may also be covered by our Warranty Policy.
Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to remove or reduce any rights available to consumers under applicable South African consumer-protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act where applicable.
